On 18 February, 2010 Juana de Ibarbourou building was inaugurated which is located in Avenue José Batlle y Ordoñez and Arrieta.


The project involve the design, construction, operation and maintenance of 25 wind generators of two megawatts of nominal power.


Construction of a cellulose plant in Punta Pereira requiring an investment of approximately $2.000M


The company will execute the works attending to the institution´s sustainable growth criteria.


On Tuesday 23rd of February the President of Uruguay, Dr. Tabaré Vázquez, visited the remodelled premises at the thermal power plant “José Batlle y Ordóñez”, where eight internal combustion engines were installed.


On Thursday November 19th at 8.00 pm the 2009 National Quality Award ceremony was carried out at Torre de las Telecomunicaciones de ANTEL. The National Quality Award recognizes both public and private organizations which stand out thanks to their good management, evaluated in accordance with the criteria stated in the Ongoing Improvement Model. This model aims at an integral, sustained and ever increasing effort, which generates excellence in business management.


The Ibero-American Quality Award is a program of the Ibero-American Summits of Heads of State and Government based on the Ibero-American Model of Excellence in Management. Public and Private organizations from all the countries in Latin America and the Iberian Peninsula participate in said program.


The Ibero-American Foundation for Quality Management (Fundibeq) has granted Teyma the 2009 Ibero-American Quality Award.


In an event held last November 18th at the Assembly Hall of Palacio Legislativo -Uruguayan Parliament Building, and in the presence of the Vice President of Uruguay, Mr. Rodolfo Nin Novoa, the 7th Edition of the Corporate Social Responsibility Index (IRSE) was presented. Same index is carried out by the Christian Association of Business Managers (ACDE) and DERES, with the support of the Economy Department of the School of Social Sciences belonging to the University of the Republic (Udelar).


Teyma Construcción is executing works for the Sixth Pump Line Project for the Water National Administration of Uruguay.

Montevideo, October 12th of 2009.

This project aims to improve the supply of potable water to the Metropolitan System of Montevideo and Canelones, by building a new pump line to back up and broaden the existing distribution system in the west area. The contract includes the executive project, supplies and execution of works.


The Electric Power Plants National Administration of Uruguay (UTE), has entrusted Teyma Construction, Abeinsa’s associate, the later being Abengoa’s Industrial Engineering and Construction business group, a turnkey contract for the execution of two 500 kV Substations in Montevideo.


The Ports National Administration entrusted Teyma Construction the design and construction of the new Passengers Terminal at the port of Colonia.


UTE – Electric Power National Administration has awarded Teyma the execution -turnkey- , equipment supply, construction and assembly for an amount of USD 93 million.


Our planet is undergoing progressive global warming as a consequence of the increase of the greenhouse effect produced in the earth’s atmosphere due to the accumulation of certain gases, such as carbon dioxide (CO2). The main cause for the increase in these gas emissions is related to human activities, such as the combustion of fossil fuels for energy, industrial activities or transportation.


Teyma will participate as subcontractor in the construction andassembly of a Fuel Desulphurisation Plant in Uruguay.

The project includes the supply and installation “turn key” of the necessary transmission works to connect the Thermal Power Station of U.T.E., located in “Punta del Tigre” (department of San José), to the existent 500 Kw net of Uruguayan Transmission.

With the presence of the President of the Oriental Republic of the Uruguay, Dr. Tabaré Vázquez, the past 23 of September of 200, it was carried out the inauguration of the works corresponding to the new services of Digestive Endoscopy, Dermatology and a new hospital stay sector.


In a ceremony carried out in the Building Libertad (Presidency of the Republic) the 5ª Edition of the National Index of Managerial Social Responsibility (IRSE) was presented. This activity is taken ahead by the organizations ACDE and DERES, with the support of the BID and of the Department of Economy of the University of the Republic.


Last 16 of January Don Felipe Benjumea handed a clock and badge to Mr. Eduardo Lang Collins in recognition to his collaboration with Abengoa during his 25 years of works in Teyma Uruguay.


With the presence of the governor of Cerro Largo, Ambrosio Barreiro, the vice-president of O.S.E., Fernando Nopistch, the Secretary of Housing Territorial Classification and Environment Carlos Colacce and other departmental authorities, the works corresponding to the treatment plant of residual liquids of the city of Melo, Cerro Largo were inaugurated.


The Wind Power Plant of Agroland S.A. is located in the location of Loma Alta, in the department of Rocha, 35 kilometers of its capital. This is the first eolic park of Uruguay and the biggest in the region, which includes sixteen wind turbines for the electric power generation. It has two wind turbine types, 12 of 40 meters high with a maximum generation of 500 kwh and four of 70 meters high with a maximum generation of 1.000 kwh, what totals a generation of 10.000 kwh. In function of the wind study in the area, it is considered that they will work to 70% of their maximum capacity.


Teyma has signed a contract with The Administration of Sanitary Works of the State (O.S.E.) to construct the “Sixth Pumping Line”, which is going to solve the supply of drinking water for the area west of Montevideo and Canelones.


On November 10th, during the XVII Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government held in Santiago de Chile, Teyma Uruguay received the Silver Award of the Ibero-American Quality Award.


With the presence of the President Rodríguez Zapatero, the works of amplification of the Spanish Home of elder people of Montevideo, executed by Teyma, have been inaugurated.


Teyma has begun the project of construction of the Terminal of the Port of the city of Colonia, one of the main tourist towns of the Uruguay.


The pulp mill that the Finnish company Botnia has installed in Fray Bentos, Uruguay, is already in the commissioning stages. Teyma had an outstanding participation in the construction of this project, through important contracts of Civil Work and Electric Assemblies.


For third time, Teyma Uruguay receives the maximum distinction that grants the Uruguayan Government as recognition to the organizations that stand out in the Continuous Improvement of its processes regarding Quality.


The Water Potability Plant of Aguas Corrientes, is the main plant of National Administration of Sanitary Works of the State (OSE) and it supplies to the city of Montevideo and its metropolitan area with a capacity of 600.000 m3/day assisting a population of 1.700.000 inhabitants.


Teyma Uruguay S.A. is executing with good progress the works of construction of new sectors of the Spanish Home for senior people in Montevideo.


The Finnish company Botnia is building a manufacturing plant of cellulose in Fray Bentos, Uruguay. It is a model plant that will produce a thousand tons of cellulose every year starting from wood of eucalyptus.


The intervention of Teyma in the Solis Theater which culminated with it’s desired and remembered inauguration in the year 2004, did not include in its scope, the entirety of the necessary works to culminate the complex. For this reason, some areas were left in their old and precarious original state.


With the presence of the President of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay, Dr. T. Vázquez, the past 25 of September of 2006, day of the 153º Anniversary of the Institution, it was celebrated the inauguration of the works corresponding to the Center of Rehabilitation, Physical Therapy and Sport Medicine of the Asociación Española Primera de Socorros Mutuos.


Integrated to the project of the plant of cellulose of Botnia in Fray Bentos


It is an extension of approximately 2.300 m2 of constructions distributed in two wings of 5 levels each and an extension of two levels of existent building. The works include rooms, SSHH, pharmacy, hydrotherapy living room, living rooms, rooms of machines and deposits.


Asociacion Española Primera de Socorros MutuosAEPSM): Center of Fisiatría. The past 7 of February, Teyma signed with the AEPSM the contract for the installation of a Center of Rehabilitation, Physical Therapy and Sport Medicine.

Administración Nacional de Usinas y Transmisiones Eléctricas (U.T.E.) The works corresponding to the bid P34275 have already begun, for the Supply and Installation in the Modality Turn-Key of a System of Racking of ASTM Nº 2 from the Plant of Fuels of La Tablada of the National Administration of Fuels, Alcohol and Pórtland, until the Plant of U.T.E..


Teyma has signed a new contract with Botnia Co.
